since it's Valentine's day...

I was listening to a MSG 1990 show recently and the set list has Estimated>Foolish>Jam>drums. It's unbeliveable and I got to thinking that this tune really should have been the next Terrapin. Seems like they dropped the ball on this one. Truckin>Foolish, Playing>Foolish. Could have been many combos in the second set, not to mention the post Foolish jam potential. Oh well.

I remember being on tour the summer Foolish got into the rotation and I just loved the tune. I liked the way Jerry would explore the lyrics and sing it sometimes as a statement and other times more like a question.
I find Foolish is much more in the line of Touch of Grey and has alot more flexibility than Terrapin which was mainly going to be played in the pre drums second set. (Foolish could work anywhere)
They did a show at SPAC that had a Victim>Foolish to close the first set that was amazing!

not sure if i'd compare it to a terrapin ...but i agree it was a perfect tune leading into drumz....

do you have pitts 4-2-89 monster 2nd set
shakedown >women >foolisheart

jerry had a cold ..so he's a little hoarse..little bit.. but his playin' made up for it!!

Nice song.

Love the beginning, the change to B minor, and the change to D, then it just seems to fall off a bit. Doesn't quite flow like Terrapin.

Also love the chorus at the end (similar to the beginning).
